Deferred charging

Charging whenever it suits you, without stepping outside to start the charge session

On weekdays you come home around 6 PM. You would like to connect the car to the charging point, but you do not want charging to start immediately. Given the consumption of your kitchen equipment (or a lower nightly energy rate), it is more beneficial to only start charging around 11 PM.

Unlike algorithms that take into account the return of solar power or your dynamic energy rate, deferred charging gives you controllable and predictable behaviour.

These functionalities are in a beta testing phase, and are not yet available to everyone. More information can be found here. (Link nog invoegen)

How does Deferred charging work?

Uitgesteld laden

We have a start time, an end time and a range of days. Days are numbered from 1 to 7. The days determine the days of the week on which we apply deferred charging.

You choose the starting time. If you start the charge session after the start time, we will postpone the charge session. You can read the start time as a 'delay-from'.

You also choose the end time. At the end time we stop procrastinating: The charge process starts. You can read the end time as a 'postpone-until'.

If a charging session is started and we are not in the time frame between the start time and end time, charging will start immediately. Just like normal!

Need a fuller battery unexpectedly? The Boost button ('Charge Immediately') bypasses the setting and starts charging immediately.

Note: this Boost button does not ensure faster charging than usual, only that charging starts immediately. Does this button not show? Please log out and log in again.
