Using the energy generated by the solar panels for charging your car
The energy generated by the solar panels is transformed into AC current, so that any surplus can be returned to the grid or used to power appliances within the building. Similarly, this electricity can be used to charge the car. Only if the energy consumption of the building including that of the charging car is higher than the amount of energy generated by the solar panels, there will not be any electricity surplus to be returned to the grid. This is generally the case when the car is charging.
