  2. Energy - Monthly invoice

How does the monthly advance work for dynamic contracts?

Because your consumption and energy prices can fluctuate, we work with an advance bill based on your estimated consumption. This is calculated accurately in an intelligent automated way based on many factors such as historical data, weather, forecast models, etc.

Payment of this monthly advance can be made in two ways:

1. Fixed Advance Payment

  • Monthly Advance
→ You pay a fixed amount each month, based on your expected annual consumption and projected market prices for the coming year.
  • Annual Settlement
→ At the end of your contract year, we calculate your actual consumption and the true energy costs.
→ Paid too much? You get the difference back.
→ Paid too little? The remaining balance must be paid.
2. Dynamic Advance Payment
  • Monthly Advance
You pay an amount each month, based on:
→ Your expected consumption for the coming month
→ Average market prices for the coming month
  • Monthly Settlement
At the end of each month we do a precise reconciliation:
→ We calculate your actual consumption
→ Apply the current energy prices per hour/day
→ Compare this with your paid advance
  • Automatic Correction
→ In case of more consumption than expected: the remaining amount will be added to the next month's invoice.
For example: in January it appears that you have to pay an additional €25, this amount will be added to the monthly advance for February. The February bill then consists of the costs for the actual consumption, the advance paid (this is deducted from the actual costs) and the monthly advance of February. (See picture below, this is an example if you have consumed less than estimated)
→ In case of less consumption: you will get back the excess amount paid, which will be deducted from the invoice for the next month.
For example: in January it appears that you have paid €22 too much, this amount will be deducted from the monthly advance for February. (see image below)
