I am switching from free to paid charging, what does this mean?

You recently converted your charging station from free charging to paid charging, but what does this really mean and what do you need to have for this.

Paid charging means paying for the electricity charged at the charge point, the charging sessions will be charged. These settlements will be via the credit process, about which you can find more here.

For paid charging, there are points that need to be checked:

  1. Plug&Charge must be switched off and charging must be done on a card, this is because the charge card is linked to an account that is used to pay for the sessions.
  2. A second option would be to add a default pass to your Blue Current account, this will settle charging sessions via the app or via Plug&Charge via the linked pass.
  3. The last thing is that the charging post must be linked to a correct IBAN, so check this carefully! Without a correct IBAN, we cannot pay out the credit invoices.
