My cable is showing corrosion, what should I do?
Inside your cable are a number of contact points, these allow current to flow over the cable to the car. If there is oxidation or corrosion on these, the cable may not make good contact with the car, in which case problems could occur while charging.
What can you do about this? You can try cleaning the inside of the charging cable with a brush. For this, it is best not to use a brush that is too hard because you might damage the contact points in the cable. Recommended is cleaning with a toothbrush or similar.
