What steps do I need to take if I want to live gas-free?

Do you have a gas connection? Then you are obliged to take out an energy contract for gas. Do you want to get rid of gas completely? Then you have two options:

1. Temporary closure (maximum 12 months)
- Ideal if you want to think about it
- After this period, you choose permanent deletion or reopening

2. Permanent deletion
- Request this yourself via www.mijnaansluiting.nl 
- The network operator then removes the gas meter and pipes

Please note: both options involve costs charged by the network operator.
