What can i do when my charging station is offline? Follow these 3 steps.
Step 1: Reset the charge point
1.Cut the power to the charge point using the power switch (switch down).
2.Then switch it back up.
3.Wait 1–2 minutes for the charge point to come back online.
Not back online? → Continue to Step 2
Step 2: Deep reset
1.Turn the power switch on and off 5 times (so: on-off, 5x).
2.Leave the switch in the on position.
3.Wait 1–2 minutes for the charge point to come back online.
Still not online? → Continue to Step 3
Step 3: Check internet connection
3.1 Wired (LAN) connection
3.1.1 Direct cable to router (recommended)
- Check if the internet cable from the crawl space is properly connected to your modem
- Reconnect the cable and try a different port if needed
- Check if a firewall or security setting is blocking the port on your modem
3.1.2 TP-Link
- Is the signal looped through via a TP-Link or Powerline because a direct cable was not possible?
- If so, reset the device. Still offline? → Continue to next step
- Take the TP-link to another socket closer to the modem, and plug the TP-link into the socket.
- Reset the TP-link with a paperclip.
- Press the “Pair” button on the TP-link and the WPS button on the modem. Check that all the lights are back on on your TP-Link.
3.1.3 Switch
- Using a network switch because your modem doesn’t have enough ports?
- Temporarily remove the switch and test if the charge point comes online
- Then try another port on the modem
3.2 SIM card
Call us directly. We’ll remotely check if the SIM card is working properly.
3.3 WiFi
Follow the steps to reconnect your charge point to WiFi.
Cut the power to the charge point one more time for one minute. Check after 1–2 minutes if it comes back online. Still offline? Please contact us.
