The charging session will not start. What can be done?

The charge point will not start charging. What is the cause?

There are a few different possible causes

1. Cable is not connected properly

Disconnect the plug at both ends (car and charging point) and reconnect firmly.

2. Using the charging card

Some charging stations will not start until you first hold out a charging card. Not done yet? Try that.

3. Charging card is not valid

Your charge card may have expired or been blocked. We can check this for you. Please call us.

4. Charging station malfunctions or is offline

You can try disconnecting the charge point from the power supply via the ground fault circuit interrupter for 1 minute. Follow the instructions here.

5. Problem with the car

If the above steps do not work, the problem may be with the car. In that case, contact your garage or dealer. Rule this out by charging at another charging point.
